FIRE APPARATUS SERVICE TECHNICIAN

Hudson Valley Fire Equipment, LLC is a Seagrave Fire Apparatus Dealer. We are currently seeking a qualified technician to service, maintain, diagnose and repair Fire Apparatus.

DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES

Perform routine service and maintenance on fire apparatus by following maintenance schedules and processes established by Hudson Valley Fire Equipment.
Diagnose and repair fire apparatus vehicle problems including electrical systems, hydraulic systems, drivability issues, engine and power train, braking system and overall vehicle performance issues.
Diagnose and repair systems specific to fire apparatus including water pumps, foam systems, battery systems and emergency warning devices.

EDUCATION / KNOWLEDGE / CERTIFICATIONS

Valid CDL Driver’s License. Must have or obtain ASE Heavy Truck Certifications for Air Brake, Steering Systems and Heavy Truck Electrical. Emergency Vehicle Technician (EVT) Certifications preferred. Completion of EVT Mater Level III Certification required within three years of employment.

EXPERIENCE

Experience maintaining heavy truck and fire apparatus.
